Somatic Vinyasa Yoga
You are warmly welcome to join Kate Duke for this energising and somatic yoga class.
We begin with a grounding breathing practice followed by a somatic movement warm up to release tension held in the body; we then build strength and flexibility with a gentle flowing sequence of dynamic standing postures - each connected to the breath. We end with a slow warm down, guided relaxation and meditation- integrating the benefits of the practice. This is a mixed ability class (suitable for students who have completed a Beginners Foundations Course with Kate and for those who like a stronger, more energetic practice).
Kate teaches a new theme every month which students explore ranging from a simple physical focus such as balance to a philosophical topic such as practising with kindness and agency.
